Vaylor Trucks

"My God, what is that thing?" were the words uttered in the Sumatran jungle by Father Norbert LaRoux upon discovering the man-beast. After a series of unexplained cattle mutilations, the local villagers gave the newly tamed creature the name "Vaa Loru Tu Rakas", which means "fuzzy oxen eater". When Father LaRoux returned to the US, the decision was made to try and pass this tamed wild man off as a human and shortened his name to Vaylor Trucks. Once in the US, Vaylor founded the Topika Cryptozoological Research Center and Home Decorating Institute in the suburbs of Atlanta. After a series of unexplained student mutilations, the institute was closed and Vaylor was forced into the occupation in which a hairy semi-wild man-beast is least conspicuous: electric guitarist.
Upon meeting Vaylor for the first time, especially in the setting of a music venue, most people ask one of two questions: "So, you're Derek's brother, right?" or "Aren't you Edwin McCain?" The answer to the second question should be obvious. As for the family ties, Vaylor is Butch Trucks' son and, therefore, Derek Trucks' cousin. Vaylor is a multi-instrumentalist, focused primarily on strings (guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, dulcimer). Vaylor is one third of the fusion improv group "The Yeti Trio" founded in 1999. Critics have described him as "a fearless improviser," and "bigfoot."
